Welcome to the Center for Academic Development's website on how to write a research paper. The purpose of this website is to provide Bloomfield College students with a comprehensive presentation on the art of writing research papers.

What is a research paper?
A research paper at the college level is writing that requires:

1. Current Information on a subject written by experts in that field and published by recognized organizations;

2. Your thoughts, insights, and opinions derived directly from the information you discovered from your sources;

3. A clear, coherent, well written presentation of your findings and conclusions, properly formatted and cited in the style appropriate to the subject’s academic discipline or as specified by your instructor.
