How to interprete your Pre-NLN test scores
The Pre-NLN is not a pass or fail tpye of test. It provides a measure for identifying and ranking the most qualified students. The higher your exam score the better your chance for nursing school admission. Each school sets its own minimum score and percentile for admission. Other factors such as GPA are all consider in addition to the Pre-NLN test scores.
Generally, the type of scores reported are:
Raw Score: The raw score reported is generally the number of questions the student answered correctly.
Percentile Score: Each percentile score indicates the percent of the norms group who received raw scores lower than the raw score under consideration. For example, a student might have a total raw score of 93, with an equivalent percentile of 71. This would mean that 71% of the students in the norms group received raw scores that were less than 93 on that test.
