Welcome !
My how time flies! I have worked at Bloomfield College for 11 years. In my first year, I was a professional tutor in the evening while I taught high school during the day. I then decided to change the direction of my career in education and accepted a full-time position at the College as a math specialist. Now, I am the Assistant Director of Mathematics for the Center for Academic Development in which some of my responsibilities include coordinating the ACF 92 course and the Peer Mentor Tutor Program. In addition to administrative duties, I have taught or am teaching the following math courses; ACF 90, ACF 92, ACF 94, MTH 113, and MTH 110.

You’ve heard the saying “all work and no play makes for a dull person”. Well, I can reassure you that even though I love my job and enjoy the interactions with students and colleagues, I also enjoy many activities outside of work. Some activities I enjoy are playing volleyball, cooking/baking, reading, spending time with family and friends, watching baseball (Mets fan) and figure skating competitions. I also enjoy traveling; I have been lucky to visit many states in the U.S. and other countries. I would like to visit Italy again in my next trip abroad. I have family and the last time I was there was in 2000 – that’s too long a time.

I enjoy talking with students; to hear about their lives, their dreams and hopes, their ideas. That is why I like to have an open door policy (when I’m not in meetings, working on reports, or teaching) for students to stop by and chat. So, please you’re more than welcome to visit me in my office. (TOP)

After spending over 30 years in the private sector (mainly R&D in telecommunications technology, telecommunications management, and operations), I joined Bloomfield College as an Adjunct Faculty of CAD in the fall of 2003. Since then I have been teaching ACF courses, conducting workshops and study groups, and providing tutorial services to students of Bloomfield College.

My areas of focus are math, and computer science. My interests include development of innovative and creative methodologies for students with diverse learning skills. (TOP)
